Bridgend Carers Centre is a registered charity giving information, advice and support to unpaid carers of those who are ill, elderly, disabled or who have mental health or substance misuse issues. They provide support across Bridgend County Borough. Bridgend Carers Centre are a team of 17 staff including CEO, Deputy CEO, Administrator, Administrative Assistant, the Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Team, Parent Carer Wellbeing Team, Macmillan Patient and Carer Support, Welfare Benefits Advisors, Debt Support, Carers Link /Veteran Carers Support, Carers Link/Valley Support Project, Hospital Support Worker based at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Dementia Carers Support and Volunteer Community Cafe Project.
The organisation provides carer information through newsletters, website and social media. They also provide carers counselling, life coaching, exercise, walks, weekly Community café, holistic therapies, legal advice, book club, carers choir and training opportunities, carers groups plus much more.
They are a network partner of the Carers Trust, the major national charity offering practical and emotional help to carers.
