The Outdoor Partnership works with a range of outdoor activity providers to deliver a series of activity programmes and events across Wales for predominantly young and young adult carers aged 8-25. Each programme will be specific to the identified demands in each area but broadly will consist of between 14-24 free to user outdoor activity days per region. Where identified, appropriately designed activity will also be provided for people in receipt of care. The aim of the programme is to provide young carers with respite, enhancing their quality of life through outdoor adventure activities and presenting achievable further opportunities.
Activities are delivered by local and experienced outdoor providers, with all personal protective equipment being provided. If transport is a barrier to participation, contact your regional Outdoor Activities Development Officer or local carer services.
